- A journey into the lives of a mother polar bear and her two seven-month-old cubs as they navigate the changing Arctic wilderness they call home.
- The ice cutter Amundsen overwinters in the Arctic, supporting the research of over 250 scientists from 26 countries while facing some of the harshest conditions imaginable. This historic journey will be forever remembered.
- The Central Railroad of Peru, the most remarkable of all railways, starts at sea level at Callao and runs to the highest point reached by any railway in the world. This is somewhat higher than the summit of Mount Blanc, or, to be exact, it is just sixteen thousand feet above sea level. In the trip which we are privileged to take upon this unique railway, we start at the high point and getting into a gravity ear we begin a count of one hundred miles down the slopes of the famous Andes, literally passing in the space of a few minutes from the Arctics to the Tropics, seeing with wondering eyes the gradual change in scenery and experiencing all the sensations of the gradual changes in climate. Upon starting, the country is bleak and barren in appearance, with no living thing in sight and mountains and plateaus covered with snow and ice, and our passengers have taken the precaution to muffle themselves up well for the journey. As we go further and further in our somewhat wild ride through many tunnels, gorges and scenes of the utmost beauty it becomes gradually warmer and warmer until we are almost shocked to find that it is really warm and that necessity exists for taking off first the heavier clothing and then our hats and coats. Finally, just before reaching our destination at Callao, we pass through a real tropical village, thus experiencing probably the quickest change from winter to summer that is possible in the whole world.
- 35 years after their first visit to the Noatak River in Alaska's wild and spectacular Brooks Range, two adventurers in their 70's reflect on a lifetime of outdoor experiences and what still awaits them.
- "Into the Arctic" is the compelling story of oil painter Cory Trepanier's first leg of his multi-year quest to explore and paint the dramatic wilderness of the Canadian Arctic. Leaving his home in southern Ontario, this 2 and a half month long journey takes Cory and his family over 20,000 kms and into some of the least traveled regions of the country. After reaching the end of the road, they fly to the remote ocean-side community of Paulatuk, and trek on another 72km until reaching breathtaking canyons of the Brock River. With a tent for a home, they battle challenging weather as Cory lays paint on canvas, capturing the incredible arctic landscape. Summer turns to fall on the tundra, caribou and grizzly bears are encountered, and then the artist finds himself in the ancient remote arctic mountains of Ivvavik National Park with a taste of winter in the air. Cory's artistic and adventurous excursions engage the viewer, allowing us to experience this part of Canada in a moving way and inspiring us to appreciate our planet more.
